Word Analyzer Vocabulary Tool
The Word Analyzer Tool identifies word forms that are most frequent in English texts. Word forms are particular forms of a word typically distinguished by their grammatical inflections. For example, possible words related to the word form "compromise" include "compromises," "compromised," and "compromising." These word forms comprise approximately 80% of words typically found in English texts based upon the Seward First 4000 Word List.
To use the tool, copy and paste text into the analyzer. The analyzer then returns words grouped into the first, second, third, and fourth quartiles of the 4000 Word List and the top 100 most frequent words in English. Words in the first quartile are most frequent among the 4000. For the identified words, the tool also provides definitions, as well as the word’s English-Spanish cognate status and level of imagability.
